The 2014 Preakness Stakes is Saturday, and the second leg of the Triple Crown should be just as exciting as the Kentucky Derby just a couple of weeks ago.

California Chrome has been dominant since December, winning five straight races, including a 1 3/4-length victory at Churchill Downs. Overall, the colt has won seven career races, but trainer Art Sherman is hoping that they can make it eight wins after this weekend.
That being said, this could be California Chrome's most difficult race yet. He's never had this little time in between races, as the horse is used to usually having around a month of rest. Instead, California Chrome will have just two weeks in between races.

Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert was hoping that he'd grab another Kentucky Derby title a couple of weeks ago, but Hoppertunity was scratched before the race due to health reasons. Now, Baffert is putting Bayern into the Preakness Stakes, hoping he can grab his sixth win at Pimlico Race Course.
